About The "Color Me Science" Series

Kids are natural scientists. Their number one question is "why?" The "Color Me Science" series uses that sense of wonder to help kids learn about the world around them. While they are learning the science standards for their grade level, they are also learning to read. Parents and grandparents can share in the fun by reading to younger children, or by reading with them, helping them improve their reading skills. Older kids can "do it themselves." And…there's the fun of coloring!

Included at the end of each book is a section of activities titled "You Can Do It." These activities relate to the science they just learned in the book. They vary by book and grade level, and include word scrambles, map quests, and things you can build together.

These books can be a welcome addition to any after school program, or used for home schooling to teach both, science and language arts. They are based on the National Science Standards and the California State Science Standards. The reading level is also age appropriate.
